INTRO

Understanding the Vision

Welcome to The Tulia Project — a residential development in Eldoret that celebrates the meeting of continents through architecture. Rooted in African tradition and elevated by French refinement, Tulia offers a unique living experience defined by warmth, craftsmanship, and sophistication.
The design integrates locally sourced stones, soft earthy hues, and elegant finishes reminiscent of French countryside architecture redefined. Every column, facade, and courtyard tells a story of connection — between Kenya’s natural landscapes and the grace of European design. This is where culture, comfort, and creativity coexist in perfect balance.

Concept

CONCEPT

Bridging Continents, Building Culture

Tulia’s concept weaves together the artistry of French architecture and the authenticity of African heritage. The design draws from Kenya’s natural palette — sun-warmed stones  and vibrant textures — while incorporating the symmetry, refinement, and romance of French design philosophy.
This fusion creates a residence that feels both grounded and elevated: African in soul, French in detail. Tulia embodies a narrative of harmony — a place where tradition evolves, where architecture becomes storytelling, and where every space reflects a shared spirit of identity and innovation.

Our colour palette is inspired strongly by the “Château of Versailles”, a luxurious residence in the heart of Paris, a home to King Louis XIV.

Sustainability

SUSTAINABILITY

Fabric of Africa, Local Sustainable Materials

At Gwiji Group, sustainability is not an afterthought — it is the foundation of design.
The Tulia Project embraces an eco-conscious approach through the use of regionally sourced materials such as the mazeras and undressed grey stones. These stones were chosen not only for their strength and thermal efficiency but also for their timeless texture and visual warmth. By integrating local craftsmanship and passive climate design, Tulia becomes more than architecture — it becomes a sustainable legacy of place and purpose.

Facade

FACADE

Elevation Approach

The Tulia Project facade embodies a refined harmony between natural texture and contemporary form. Clad in locally sourced stone, the exterior exudes permanence and authenticity, grounding the home in the landscapes of Eldoret. The subtle tonal variation of the masonry captures sunlight throughout the day, revealing depth and warmth across its surface.

A low-lying roofline with soft, terracotta tones introduces a hint of French country charm, while sleek black steel frames and generous glazing bring a distinctly modern rhythm to the composition. The veranda, framed by minimalist steel columns, offers both shade and connection to the surrounding greenery — a quiet dialogue between indoor comfort and outdoor serenity.

Every line and material choice has been curated to express balance, honesty, and heritage — where the strength of stone meets the lightness of modern design. The result is a façade that feels timeless yet progressive, rooted in African identity and refined through European sensibility.

Interior

INTERIOR

The Space Narrative

Inside Tulia, the experience transforms from earthy warmth to refined simplicity. The interiors pay homage to French minimalism, expressed through clean lines, soft lighting, and curated textures — while maintaining a deep emotional connection to Africa through material and color.
Large glass openings invite the natural landscape into every room, blending the outdoors with contemporary living. Polished floors meet rustic tones, creating a dialogue between modern restraint and cultural richness. The result is a sanctuary that feels both familiar and forward-looking — an interior that whispers calm, culture, and continuity.
