Rooted in Africa, Designed for Tomorrow – a fusion of heritage and innovation, blending African tradition with timeless, sustainable modern living.
INTRO
Understanding the Vision
Welcome to our Kajiado residential project, where tradition meets modernity. Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Africa, our design incorporates locally sourced yellow stones and vibrant color tones that reflect the essence of African culture. Each element, from the painted columns to the steel features, is thoughtfully designed to blend sustainability with timeless beauty.
CONCEPT
Rooted in Africa, Redefinition for Modern Living
“Rooted in Africa, Redefinition for Modern Living” embodies the harmony between heritage and innovation. The design draws inspiration from Africa’s natural landscapes, materials, and cultural narratives — integrating locally sourced yellow stone and earthy tones that reflect both resilience and warmth. Each architectural gesture honors tradition while embracing contemporary functionality and sustainability. The result is a timeless residence where the essence of African identity meets refined modernity — a home that celebrates origin, authenticity, and evolution.
SUSTAINABILITY
Fabric of Africa, Local Sustainable Materials
Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our use of locally sourced materials (Yellow stones, dressed and undressed found within the landscapes of Narok, Grey stones found within the landscapes of Ndarugo and Foundation stones found in Kajiado). These materials not only reduce our carbon footprint but also connect the project to the land. These materials are chosen for their durability, thermal comfort and their natural beauty, ensuring that the design stands the test of time.
FACADE
Elevation Approach
The facade celebrates the spirit of Africa through material honesty and rhythmic form.
Locally quarried Golden Ochre Stone wraps the base of the residence, anchoring it to the land and capturing the warmth of Kajiado’s natural light. This stone is paired with Muted Sand Beige plaster walls that introduce a calm, neutral balance — echoing the tones of surrounding earth and sky.
Subtle insets of Deep Umber Brown and Charcoal Grey steel articulate edges and openings, adding contrast and definition to the massing. Each plane and reveal is intentionally designed to respond to climate, allowing natural ventilation and shading while preserving a visually cohesive composition.
The facade rhythm mirrors the natural transitions of the African landscape — from textured stone to smooth finishes — creating a layered expression that speaks of heritage, permanence, and progress.
This project is a timeless architectural skin that breathes with its environment — rooted in Africa, redefined for modern living.
INTERIOR
The Space Narrative
Our interiors embody the journey from Africa to the future. While the exterior is deeply rooted in traditional African aesthetics, featuring locally sourced stones and vibrant color tones, the interior space offers a minimalist, modern, and almost futuristic experience. Large windows seamlessly blend the outside landscape with the interior, allowing the essence of Africa to flow into the modern design. In this way, the interior is not just a space, but a passage into the future, offering a harmonious balance between heritage and innovation.
